What is EPOC?

As the Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption for recovery,

it is the theory that calories are consumed as much as the excess amount of oxygen in the body even after exercise,

more than the amount of oxygen to be treated in the body being consumed during strenuous exercise(high intensity exercise),

which is emerging with the recent reevaluation of high-intensity interval training.

If the consumed energy is greater than the energy to be treated with oxygen intake during exercise

(if you usually exercise more than 70% of maximum heart rate), the fatigue material will gradually build up.
