If you are diabetic, the information provided about these foods will help you make good food choices.

A high glycemic index means that the food metabolizes into sugar quickly and causes increases in your blood sugar.

Similarly, a low glycemic index means that the food metabolizes slowly into sugar and will not cause large increases in your blood sugar level.
