Jared Leto (born December 26, 1971) is an American actor, musician, singer and songwriter.

Leto is the lead vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and main songwriter for 30 Seconds to Mars. The band was formed in 1998 with his older brother Shannon. the debut album which was named after the band, was followed by A Beautiful Lie (2005) which went platinum., and then the third album This Is War was released in 2009.

He acting career rose to prominence via the teenage drama My So-Called Life (1994).
